There’s no easy path to success, just simple actions practiced daily. No matter what you choose to do with your life, you can never go wrong if you follow these 4 simple steps.
1. Get up and do something.Success isn’t something that just happens. It comes through hard work, determination and steadfast persistence. You must take consistent, committed actions towards the goals you want to achieve. If you’re waiting for someone to come along and lift you up, it may never happen. Instead, rise and do something worth doing.
“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.” – Jim Rohn
2. Start right where you are. You don’t need a lot of money to get started and you don’t have to have it all together. There’ll never be the perfect time to do anything. Just start! When you step out on faith, with the resources you already have, God will provide what you need along the way. He will perfect the very thing He started in you.
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
3. Believe in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself, then nobody else will. Be bold, be confident and know that your life matters. When we’re confident, it shows in the way we carry ourselves. It reflects in our walk and in the way, we talk. So, the next time you’re having a little self-doubt, raise your head up and square your shoulders back. Know that you have something to offer the world.
“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.” – Helen Keller
4. Never let others define who you are. It’s important that you take the time to discover who you are. The world can be a dangerous place when you don’t know who you are and why you were created. Take some time to reflect on what you want to do with your life. Then, develop a plan for your life. Doing so prevents people from categorizing or labeling you as something you’re not. A person who knows who they are cannot be easily shaken.
“You attract the right things when you have a sense of who you are.” Amy Poehler
